We bring the same materials and process to a driveway that a shop uses inside four walls; the setting changes, but the standard does not.

North Las Vegas is a mix of single-family streets and apartment and townhome communities, and mobile work looks different depending on which one you are in. At a house with its own driveway, we usually have what we need without much coordination.
At a rented apartment or a gated complex, we often need a guest parking spot or a call to the office before the truck can get close enough to the car, so it helps to know that ahead of time. When We Will Reschedule
We will not set a windshield in blowing dust. Wind-driven dust is common enough in this part of the valley that it is worth planning around, and a dust storm rolling through while urethane cures can pull grit into the bond line before it sets, which is exactly the kind of shortcut that causes a leak later.
If conditions turn while we are on site, we will reschedule rather than finish a job we are not confident in. Heat matters too.
Adhesive manufacturers generally want installation done somewhere in the 40s to mid-90s Fahrenheit, and summer afternoons here routinely run past that top end, so we plan mobile appointments for cooler parts of the day and use shade where the vehicle allows it.
When Mobile Is Not The Right Call
Not every job belongs in a driveway. If your vehicle has a forward-facing safety camera near the mirror, that camera often needs to be aimed again once the windshield is replaced, and some of those procedures need a level surface and enough clear space for a target board — conditions a tight carport or a crowded parking row cannot always provide.
When that is the case, we will say so and recommend a shop bay instead of forcing a calibration that will not read correctly.
What To Expect Afterward
A new windshield needs time to bond before the vehicle is driven hard or the doors are slammed shut, and how long that takes depends on the adhesive and the weather that day. We will give you a safe drive-away time before we leave, and it is worth following even if the glass feels solid sooner.
Sitting behind a truck kicking up gravel, or driving on rough pavement right after a repair, can still turn a small chip into a spreading crack.
